Study Areas:

Four study areas in Finland (shown in the figure below), each of sufficient scale, have been selected to assess the performance of the proposed forest height estimation using Sentinel-1 coherence images. These areas cover diverse forest types such as spruce, pine, birch, and broadleaved, spanning a wide range of heights. The predictions from our method will be validated against ground-truth data from high-quality (5 emitted pulses), high-resolution (1m) Airborne Laser Scanning (ALS).
